The tradition of Venetian Glass production is steeped in over 1,000 years of history. In 1291 the Venetian government moved the glass makers out of the city to the small island of Murano because of fire hazards associated with the glass making industry. Today Murano Glass is world renowned for it's quality and form. These beads are from the Marco Polo factory in Venice and are silver lined to give the beads a stunning sheen.
